Loliondo Camp is a camp in the great Serengeti Conservation Area, Tanzania.

Type: Eco-lodge

Region: Serengeti, Tanzania

Activities: Game Walking, Bird Watching, Cultural Visits

Safaris: Tanzania's Northern Circuit

Loliondo Camp immediately borders the northeastern boundary of the Serengeti National Park, close to the southeastern side of the Masai Mara, Kenya. This is a place of outstanding natural beauty with a landscape of differing habitats including grassy plains, rolling wooded hills, acacia-lined watercourses and dramatic granite kopjes.

Located at the base of a granite monolith, the camp is shaded from the elements. Although Loliondo Camp is easily reached by air and road, this is a completely private area, totally removed from any other tourism.

Accommodation
The semi-permanent tented camp is luxuriously comfortable and spacious, naturally and tastefully furnished with ensuite bathrooms. The tents are spread throughout the kopje area, with the public tent at the base of the main kopje rock.

The permanent camp crew takes great pride in providing first class service with varied menus, usually served in the dramatically situated dining tent. Resident game is plentiful in the area, drawn during the dry season by the nearby waterhole and increasing in the spring and especially the autumn, when the Migration can be expected to pass through the area on its way to/from the Masai Mara area.

Community
The Camp supports the local community (Oloipiri Village) through direct donations, which are made in proportion to client revenue. These payments, which are publicly accountable, have so far brought benefits to the local community, local school and area government.
